December

February
Our Camellias have been blooming continually since early Fall and there are still varieties yet to open so the season goes on…
We also have “Daphne”, the most wonderful fragrant evergreen shrub that is in flower practically all winter – such a pleasant surprise in a garden when all other plants are bowing their heads trying to stay warm!
We specialize in having the largest selection of gorgeous orchids this time of the year so that one can have beautiful color gracing their homes interior when flowers are non existent outdoors.
It is also time to order your Easter Lilies and other special spring flowering plants.
March
Spring is here and it is time to snatch up the cool weather vegetables and pop them into the soil. We even have a “salad bowl” of assorted lettuce that you can park outside your kitchen window and harvest a daily salad.
Easter comes early this year, and if the Easter Bunny forgot to bring you a blooming basket, come stop in and pick one up. We have fragrant hyacinths, brilliant tulips, and lots of lilies that you can plant in your garden to bloom again next year.
We can also put together a spring bulb container garden that you can say the Easter Bunny brought just for you.
Now is the time to plant trees and shrubs before it gets too warm. We have a lovely selection of flowering and shade trees plus a wide variety of shrubs in a range of textures and sizes. If there is something in particular you need let us know and we will try to find it for you.
And, we always have deer resistant and native plants that will keep your gardens gorgeous.

By mid-month the garden center is just bursting with color from hundreds of annuals and perennials. We’ll also have bountiful hanging baskets dripping with flowers to brighten up your deck and patio.
Remember, now is the time to plant that luscious green shrub or exciting tropicals to add diversity and texture to your garden.
May
Mother’s Day is the second Sunday of the month which gives you the excuse of buying plant gifts for yourself or others. The garden center looks like a full bloom flower show. Whatever you need – a Black-Eyed Susan for the sun or a lovely Astible for the shade, we’ve got it waiting for you. Plop your plant into a lovely ceramic pot and you’ve got a green gift that will produce many smiles.
If the seeds you planted in your vegetable garden didn’t take or you’d just prefer to skip that step we’ve got a complete produce department growing in our flats that you can take home and start tending. From Beets to Zucchini, and all the herbs to enhance them, are waiting for you at the garden center.
And we love novice gardeners; come talk to us and you’ll have a green thumb in no time!
June
The parade of perennials continues! We have benches and benches just spilling over with color, texture and fragrance that can add character to your garden or deck.
Dress your plant up with a pot and you’ve got a showpiece! We have containers of all sizes and styles; simple, whimsical, or elegant these pots will enhance your porch, deck, or doorway with plant panache. Think of your containers as pieces of living art and an investment in beauty.
June is the perfect time to start a Butterfly Garden of attractive perennials that welcome the beautiful Monarchs. Make your garden a sanctuary for these endangered creatures by just adding a few Joe-Pye Weed and Milk Weed plants for nectar and hosting.
